New Barcelona coach visited the club's Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper base for the first time on Monday. The former Athletic Club boss was able to view the whole complex which from now on will be his place of work.
Valderde was accompanied by president Josep Maria Bartomeu, sporting director Robert Fernandez, coach Urbano Ortega, director Albero Soler and first team delegate Carles Naval as he looked around his new home.
The new Barca manager looked around the dressing rooms, the gym, his office, the Tito Vilanova training pitch, the place room and all the other areas as he begins to familiaries himself with his new surroundings in the Catalan city.
During the visit, Valverde, who played for Barcelona between 1988 and 1990 when they trained elsewhere, bumped into first team player Aleix Vidal, who is still working on recovering his fitness after dislocating his ankle in February. They had a brief but relaxed conversation.
