Valverde speaks about chances of losing Mascherano in January

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was asked about Javier Mascherano possibly leaving the club in January ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match against Sporting Club.
Valverde said: "The transfer market's still not here and we've been talking about it since August. We're in autumn. When the window opens, we will talk about it.
"Mascherano is our player and we count on him. We want him to recover from his injury soon. We have a lot of confidence in him. He is committed to the club and he's shown that."
Asked how he would convince the Argentina international to stay, if he had to, the coach said: "I can't plan conversations that could be in limbo when they've still not come up.
"Mascherano is our player and I'm not planning for anything else. I am happy with him."
