The Barça coach says they have brought him the extra midfielder he asked for and any further movements would be dependent on the market

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has reiterated that he's extremely satisfied with the squad at his disposal and hasn't asked for any more new signings this summer. Although, at the same time, he didn't exactly rule out some transfer business being done before the window closes either. "We're good with what we've got. It's evident we'll be alert to what could happen in the transfer market but we're happy how we are and we haven't asked for anyone else."

Valverde admitted that he did ask for another midfielder following the sale of Paulinho. "In that moment I said we'd need another midfielder of similar characteristics to Paulinho. Arturo Vidal is here now and that's it. I don't believe I've said anything else about the topic (of transfers)."

In saying that, the coach admitted that there's still a long way to go in this transfer window and should a player be sold they would need to be ready with a replacement. "Last year one of our important players left and we had to react. You all know how this works and we must be prepared for everything. I'm not closing the door on anybody, but I'm only focused on the players I have and I must say I'm very satisfied with the squad here."
