Valverde gives a rest to Pique, Rakitic, Luis Suarez, Messi and Alba

Ernesto Valverde has handed rests to several first team stars as Barcelona travel to Levante in the Copa del Rey on Thursday. 

Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi wll all sit the tie out, with four Barça B players called up. 

The four youngsters who could feature are left-back Juan Miranda, midfielder Riqui Puig, defender Chumi and right-back Moussa Wague.

Valverde is also without Rafinha, Sergi Samper, Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermelen, who are all injured, while Munir's been left out due to not signing a new contract. 

The full squad is: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Busquets, Denis Suárez, Coutinho, Arthur, Dembélé, Cillessen, Malcom, Lenglet, Murillo, Sergi Roberto, Aleñá, Arturo Vidal, Miranda, Riqui Puig, Chumi and Wague.
