The coach will make changes ahead of the game against Man Utd

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has confirmed that there will be rotations against Huesca on Saturday after the midweek win against Manchester United.

"There will be changes," he said in a press conference. "It's a packed calendar, we've had a long journey and an intense game in Manchester. Now we have another intenst game [against Huesca] and another Tuesday [the second leg against United]. It's necessary to make changes for the game."

In this sense, Valverde explained that Lionel Messi is one of the candidates to stay in Barcelona and recharge his batteries this weekend. The Argentine took a blow to the face against United and the coach will want him 100 percent for the second leg.

"It's possible that he rests," Valverde added. "I spoke with him, he's fine even though he took a big knock to the face and was affected. It was if a trailer passed over him or something. We will assess it after training but it's a possibility."

Despite the changes, Valverde warned: "Let's not forget still need 10 points to be champions. We will make changes but always with aim of putting out a competitive team."
