Valverde bats away questions on Messi's Barcelona future once again
The coach doesn't know how important the photograph with Bartomeu is
"Leo's with us, that's what we care about," Valverde said on Tuesday
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has to tackle the eternal question over the absence of Lionel Messi's signature on his new contract.
The Barça was asked what importance he would give the need for the photograph of Messi and president Josep Maria Bartomeu to take place, given we're nearly in December and it's still not happened.
"I don't know how important the photograph is with Messi, to be honest," Valverde said in his usual relaxed manner.
"Leo's with us, that's what we care about. We're not looking much further beyond that. We're looking at tomorrow's game and forgetting all the other stories."
Previously, Rakitic had to take on the same questions and said that he believes Messi will stay but that he can't say for certain.
What is certain is that Messi is part of the Barça squad for Wednesday's Champions League game against Juventus.
Valverde's side will clinch top spot in the group and a place in the last 16 with a win in Turin at the Juventus Stadium.
