The LaLiga side are hoping Barça reduce their initial asking price of €15m to one based on his appearances per season

Valencia are thinking of making a new bid for Barça's Rafinha Alcantara according to 'Plaza Deportiva'. Mateu Alemany and Pablo Longoria will attempt to secure a deal for the midfielder once the transfer of Maxi Gomez has been completed.

After quickly working out a deal which saw Cillessen and Neto swap clubs, transfers between Valencia and Barça have been mixed since then. Denis Suarez ultimately joined Celta Vigo instead and talks over a move for Rafinha stalled two weeks ago.

Barça want €15m for Rafinha but Valencia would prefer a deal structured in payments depending on how often the midfielder plays per season. This is due to Rafinha's recent injury record not being great.

Rafinha has told Valencia he wants to join them and with Barcelona needing to raise funds, they're confident a deal can be struck. An alternative to Rafinha is Belgian international Dennis Praet.
