Valencia tie up Barcelona-bound Joao Cancelo's replacement

Kiko Femenia played two years at Barca B after coming from Hercules, but did not impress enough to be kept on

Valencia based newspaper Superdeporte say the club have sealed their first signing for next season in Kiko Femenia. The Alaves player’s contract expires on June 30 and the club, despite the earthquake of Cesare Prandelli resigning, have sealed his signature for next term and beyond.

They also say that Femenia will replace Joao Cancelo, with SPORT having notified the world that he will become a Barcelona player from July 1. Cancelo convinced Barcelona’s sporting director and his team and he will replace Aleix Vidal at Camp Nou.

Kiko Femenia played two years at Barca B after coming from Hercules, but did not impress enough to be kept on, so he headed to Real Madrid, where things didn’t go that well either. Then he joined Alaves where he became a full-back, from his wing position, and started to shine.
