Barça and Man City have lost interest in the right-back in recent months

Alvaro Negredo and Enzo Perez are also set to leave Valencia this summer

One of Valencia's objectives this summer is to find a club for Joao Cancelo, a player who was of interest to Europe's biggest clubs but has lost value in the market in recent months.

According to ‘Superdeporte’, Cancelo's agent Jorge Mendes met with Mateu Alemany and José Ramón Alexanko last week in Manchester. The Valencia directors and Mendes concluded that the player must leave the club this summer and they're looking to sell for the highest fee possible.

They are aware that Cancelo has lost value having been sharing minutes with Martin Montoya, who joined the club from Barça next summer and is a more defensive option. It's meant Cancelo has often had to play further forward.

Mendes feels the price would have been much more if he'd been given the chance to play regularly as a right-back. Now, Barcelona and Manchester City, two clubs to show an interest in Cancelo, are having doubts.

The same report in 'Superdeporte' says Barça have turned to different targets. As reported by SPORT, Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) is the preferred option but contact has also been made with regards to a possible deal fo Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

Cancelo is just one of various players Valencia -- who appointed Marcelino as their new coach last week -- are looking to sell this summer. Alvaro Negredo and Enzo Perez are also available.
