Umbrella thrown at Messi as he celebrated winner at Atletico

The referee had to clean up the objects which had been thrown after the goal

The supporters at the Wanda Metropolitano did not only welcome Antoine Griezmann back on Sunday with whistles, offensive chants and banners, but they also threw objects on to the pitch.

However, the objects thrown had nothing to do with Griezmann, but were launched after Lionel Messi's 86th-minute winner in Madrid.

Among the things chucked at the Barcelona forward was a black umbrella, with referee Mateu Lahoz forced to pick up everything up which landed on the pitch.

In his post-game report, the official wrote: "Various objects were thrown, without hitting any player, highlighting a black umbrella."
