Trincao's emotional farewell to Artur Jorge ahead of Barça move
The coach has worked with Trincao ever since he progressed through the Braga academy
Francisco Trincao has bid farewell to Braga in the most possible circumstances. His side beat Porto, the current Liga Portuguesa champions, 2-1 - and he popped up with an assist. It brings an end to what has been a sensational season for the youngster. He's established himself in the first team at Braga, played a key role in them securing third place and has already agreed a move to FC Barcelona.
The 20-year-old forward showed his appreciation towards Braga on social media following the match. "Thank you for everything." Trincao's message wasn't the only thing to be shared across the internet though. Another photo of the youngster hugging Artur Jorge also went viral. Jorge is the fourth manager Braga have had this season and he's someone who has been part of Trincao's journey through the academy. That faith was rewarded with 9 goals and 13 assists this season.
"This was a very emotional mission for me," explained Trincao. "This is my club, my home. It's the opportunity I've always dreamed about."
