Toulouse already have their replacement for Barça-bound Todibo
The French side have confirmed the signing of Japan's Gen Shoji
Toulouse have already tied down their replacement for Jean-Clair Todibo, who is set to sign for FC Barcelona when his contract expires in the summer.
The French club announced on Fridaythe arrival of Japan's Gen Shoji, who joins from the champions of the Japanese league, Kashima Antlers.
Shoji arrives for a fee of three milion euros and the 26-year-old defender has signed a contract to keep him with the Ligue 1 club until 2022.
"He performed really well last season and also helped his country reach the last 16 of the World Cup," Toulouse said in a statement.
Remember that the deal is linked indirectly to Todibo, who looks set to sign for Barça in the summer. The Catalan club are optimistic that they will land the 19-year-old when is terms run out.
