Regardless of Atletico's result, Barcelona will be champions if they beat Levante on Saturday

Saturday could be a great day. Barcelona can win their 26th league title in the best place possible: Camp Nou. With the warmth of their own fans. And the fantasy of a treble still ahead of them.

Above all the Champions League, the motor behind the season, the title the players and the supporters are dreaming of. But before welcoming Liverpool on Wednesday, Ernesto Valverde's side want to wrap up another Spanish league title.

Barça's domestic dominance has led to the debate focusing on when would be the best day for them to win the title -- not if they will win it. It will be their eighth title in 11 years.

WHAT BARÇA NEED

Levante are at Camp Nou on Saturday (20.45h/Movistar+ and Movistar Partidazo).  And Barça will be champions in any of the following three scenarios:

1. If Atletico Madrid lose to Real Valladolid at home (16:15h/beIN LaLiga) before Barça even kick off against Levante.

2. If Atletico both Atletico and Barça win their respective fixtures on Saturday.

3. If Diego Simeone's side draw and Valverde's side draw later in the day (or win, of course).

In any case, Barça depend on themselves. If they beat Levante it's over. That's what the players want. They want to celebrate the title at home, which they've only done twice in their last 11 titles, the last time in 2010.

It's another titled with Messi's signature. The Argentine star doesn't slow down with time. He shines more than ever. His influence is so big that's he's become the conductor of Barça's domination of La Liga.

The Catalans are close to Real Madrid all the time. Los Blancos have won the league 33 times, more than any other Spanish side. Barça are about to win it for the 26th time.

To reach this point, Valverde's been grateful for the 33 goals and 14 assists supplied by Messi. Luis Suarez (20 goals and six assists) has also contributed.

The version of Messi has been the total player: he makes play, he's a No.10 that unbalances teams and he contributes so many goals.

On this occasion, he's even been open to resting more often and has not played for Argentina for large chunks of the season. Two factors which have helped him reach the final stretch of the season in great form.

VALVERDE'S MARK

This league will also be remembered as the second with Valverde on the bench. He began the season with 4-4-2 but quickly changed back to 4-3-3.

He's changed something but not too much: the team is reliable, with moments of brilliance, but above all it is pragmatic. Valverde's maintained a solid spine in Ter Stegen, Alba, Pique, Rakitic, Messi and Suarez and has added some new pieces.

Arthur and Lenglet have had the biggest impact, while Dembele and Coutinho, two players tipped to cover Neymar's absence, have alternated in and out of the team.

Barça have been brilliant in the big games. They were great against Atletico (winning at home and drawing away) and against Real Madrid (two wins). And all in a Liga season which began with Messi referring to the Champions League as the "beautiful" cup.

On Saturday. it's time to put it in perspective: there's no title which defines a team's day to day and stability better than a league title.
