To the end of the world with Ter Stegen and Leo Messi

UP: Barcelona cemented their victory in the Calderon thanks to two key pieces: the strength of Ter Stegen between the sticks and the timely intervention of Leo Messi just when he was needed most, in front of goal. The German goalkeeper offered a wonderful display with various fine saves, whether it be from shots from distance or close range. Meanwhile Messi, who was not having a great game, showed up when the team needed him most, beating Oblak and saving the three points. 

DOWN: The FC Barcelona midfield showed that it is still not calibrated properly. Iniesta is far from his best self, while Sergio Busquets is not recovering the ball like he used to or distributing well. Too many lost balls in dangerous zones and little confidence when it is needed. When both cracks are playing so far beneath their true level it’s logical that the team is not in great form. The trident had to look for the ball themselves.
