Barcelona have not ruled out signing former Liverpool player Gini Wijnaldum, available on a free transfer. The agents of the player were in Barcelona last week to listen to the club’s intentions. Wijnaldum has an offer from Bayern Munich on the table and two Premier League clubs have called him too.
Barca have been negotiating with him for months and agreed a fee with Liverpool but a deal did not happen last summer. Now his agents want clarity ahead of taking a definitive decision.
Wijnaldum is a player Koeman likes for his strength and versatility. He would arrive for free but Barca would prefer to sign a younger player. The club have to make a call soon.
