The Catalans are battling with Bundesliga sides for the pearl from Souchaux
Barça are still trying to scout talents in European football to strengthen the youth teams with the aim of bringing them into the first team one day. One of the players Barça could sign is Souchaux midfielder Amidou Doumbouya. According to 'L'Equipe', the Blaugrana scouts have given the go-ahead and hope to move forward to secure the arrival of the player, who will be 16 years old on August 5th, and could sign a professional contract.
Dombouya is a France U16 international and stands out for his physical strength and good ball handling. He can play as a pivot in front of the defence or as a centre-back and many European clubs are watching him. Barça have already contacted his entourage, as have Freiburg and other Bundesliga clubs with the aim of signing the player in the summer. What seems clear is that he will not continue at Souchaux.
Barça would see the player more as a centre-back although his physical deployment means he can play perfectly well as a pivot. His signing would be to reinforce the youth team with the aim of improving the team's performance in the next UEFA Youth League.
