The Whatsapp Andres Iniesta sent Denis Suarez after Sevilla - Barcelona
The Barça captain sent his teammate a message after his performance in the Blaugrana's win
Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez spoke to El Larguero on Cadena Ser on Monday night after starring for his side in the win against Sevilla on Sunday.
After his best display in a Blaugrana shirt, in which he was tasked with covering Andres Iniesta’s absence, the Barça captain sent him a message….
“At the end of the game against Sevilla [Iniesta] sent me a Whatsapp message to congratulate me,” Suarez explained.
“I was really excited. He told me that I had played really well and with a lot of personality. I replied saying that his message had made me really happy.”
Denis also spoke about his current aims at Barça: “My objective is to consolidate myself [in the team]. I want to earn my place and be here for many years.
“I’m fighting to start games. I know I’ve just got here and I have to be patient and try to take advantage of my chances.
“I’m happy with my participation. In Barça no-one’s gifted anything. You always want to play more, but I have teammates at the top level, like Iniesta, who’s the best in the world in my position.
“I hope one day I can be like him.”
