The Brazilian winger has left the club after just one season to sign for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg

Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira is no longer a FC Barcelona player. The surprise signing from Bordeaux just a year ago has abandoned the Camp Nou to begin a new adventure in Russia with Zenit.

The Brazilian winger was never seen as first choice at Barça and only made 24 appearances - 1,067 minutes - due to a combination of injuries and being out of favour. Although he did produce two key moments in last season's campaign, scoring against Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The first goal came in group stages of the Champions League. 1-0 down on the night, Malcom came on and grabbed a crucial equaliser at the Giuseppe Meazza almost immediately. With tears in his eyes, it was a moment the youngster will cherish forever. That goal helped Barça secure their place in the Round of 16.

His second goal came in the Copa Clasico against Real Madrid. Once again the Brazilian came to Barça's rescue as they were 1-0 down at the Camp Nou. He reacted quickest in the box to smash it past Keylor Navas to bring his side level. It was perhaps his best performance in a Barça shirt.

Malcom also scored against Cultural Leonesa in the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey and against Villarreal in LaLiga.
