The surprising mistake on the Barcelona champions t-shirts
The players wore special t-shirts after winning the league
Barcelona's players wore a special commemorative shirt after winning the league title on Sunday.
The players put on the shirt after showering and celebrating after the 4-2 win at Deportivo La Coruna.
On the front of the shirt it says in Catalan "Campions de Lliga 2017 / 2018" (league champions 2017/18) and on the back of the shirts it has a list of the names of the players who won the league as well as that of title winning coach Ernesto Valverde.
There were some surprise omissions in that list, however.
For example, players like Gerard Deulofeu and Javier Mascherano, who left the club in January for Watford and China respectively, were not on the list, and neither was Arda Turan, who went back to Turkey in January, or the youth player Jose Arnaiz, who played five minutes. Curiously, Rafinha's name did appear on the shirt even though he was not even called up for a league game before he moved to Inter Milan.
Journalists from Catalunya Radio pointed this out and Gerard Deulofeu was the first player to react. He was not pleased, asking "where is my name" when replying to a picture of the back of the shirt, worn by Iniesta.
