Dembele has not scored a goal since returning from injury

Ousmane Dembele has not lived up to expectations yet. The Frenchman was dubbed the 'saviour' as he returned to Barcelona's first team following his latest injury but, besides offering an outlet and brief spells of excitement on the wing, he has rarely been decisive in the final third.

In fact, only one of his nine shots on target since his comeback have been on target. That one came in his first game back, against Dynamo Kyiv. Coming in from the right-hand side, his shot went directly into the hands of goalkeeper Buschan.

Against Benfica and Villarreal, he came off the bench to good effect but didn't shoot on target. Against Real Betis he was even livelier, but none of his four shots made it between the posts as Barça sunk to a 1-0 defeat at Camp Nou.

It was the same story against Bayern Munich, where more was expected of him, but he only managed one shot, which was deflected. On Sunday, against Osasuna, he had three attempts, all off-target. Given Barça's problems creating danger and scoring goals, they will need Dembele's quality to improve urgently.
