Andres Iniesta continues to watch every single game he plays

He says he can and will keep learning until the day he retires

Andres Iniesta is making history at Barcelona. He has just signed a lifetime contract at the club he joined 21 years ago and, as he said in an extensive interview with Barça TV, "where I grw, formed a family with my wife, my three children, my parents, my sister. I've lived the best 21 years of my life here."

If he's gone so far, as well as his talent and his professionalism, it's down to his non-conformism, an attitude which remains today, as he explains when he says "I still watch the games after playing them, to observe the moments I'm involved in, my mistakes, things I can do better..."

He watched them shortly after playing them, too: "Normally, after the games you can't sleep and it's easier to take advantage of that moment to go over them. I like to watch myself, to see what I do.

"Maybe, with just watching games back, in the next game, with the simple fact of having seen it, it stays with you and you don't make the same mistakes.

"One of the things I have always been clear on it that until the day I retire I can keep learning things. That's something which is fundamental to keep growing and improving.

"There's a moment when you think you know it all, but that's not the case. There's always something new."
