The majority still have games to play with their national teams

Even though Barcelona played their final game of the season on Saturday, losing the Copa del Rey final to Valencia, many of their players still have more football to play this season with their national teams. The Copa America, for example, runs between June 14 and July 7.

On Monday, Ter Stegen and Dembele, both injured and unable to play for Germany or France, begin their holidays. Rafinha (still recovering from an injury), Pique (retired from international football) and Malcom (not called up by Brazil) are all able to look forward to the summer, too.

Leo Messi travels on Sunday to Argentina and Luis Suarez, who is still recovering from surgery, is expected in Uruguay on June 1.

Arthur and Coutinho (Brazil), Arturo Vidal (Chile) and Jeison Murillo (Colombia) have all been called up for their respective countries, too.

NATIONS LEAGUE & EURO 2020

As for the Europeans, there are also committments to be kept. Alba, Busquets and Sergi Roberto are all in Spain's squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Sweden and the Faroe Islands.

Lenglet and Umtiti (France) and Vermaelen (Belgium) have also been called up for qualification games. Cillessen (Holland) and Nelson Semedo (Portugal) will take part in the UEFA Nations League Final Four, which also features England and Switzerland.

Finally, Carles Aleña's with Spain U21s and Jean Clair Todibo is with France U20s.

Barça' players are due back in for training in July, although the date will depend on each player's involvement with their national teams this summer. The South Americans are likely to be the last to return.
