They are one game away from equalling Real Sociedad's 38 game unbeaten streak
Barcelona are one victory away from equalling an historic record in the Spanish leage. A record that was set 38 years ago, but now after Barca's miracle draw in Seville, they can level it. Real Sociedad went 38 games unbeaten in 1980-91.
Two goals in 53 seconds allowed Barcelona to stay alive and continue unbeaten after 30 league games, plus seven from last season.

It was, curiously, Sevilla who broke Real Sociedad's 38 game streak and the mean-spirited Andalusians nearly cut Barca's short too. So if Barcelona hold out against Leganes at Camp Nou, they can match Real Sociedad's record.
However Ernesto Valverde's records continue. Thanks to the draw against Sevilla, Barca are one game away from equalling Pep Guardiola's record of games without losing away from home. Barca ae one game off the 17 Pep's side managed in 2010-11. And they could still crack the 100 point barrier this season.
