The player is angry at how poor Liverpool were in their last game against Tottenham

Barcelona would love to sign the playmaker in either January or the summer

Philippe Coutinho is going through a tough situation with Liverpool. The Reds were hammered by Tottenham last weekend and have shown they cannot compete for the Premier League title.

After a summer in which he came close to signing for Barcelona, Coutinho is back in Liverpool's team with Jurgen Klopp making sporting promises which helped get him motivated again.

However the start to the season has not reflected that, with Liverpool ninth with just three wins in nine games, 12 points off leaders Man City and already out of the league cup.

Coutinho was angry when he spoke about the Tottenham game. "The goals could have been avoided, they are stupid goals, the coach had warned us they could score goals like this, we have to play defensively all game and the goal they scored just before half-time killed us," he told ESPN Brazil.

"It's the fault of the whole team, in the first game we're all involved," he added. "We have to be more alert and improve as soon as possible if we want to win games."
