The midfielder is not on the list for the game against Murcia

His time is up at Barcelona and he must look for the exit in January

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan is top of the list of players to leave in January. The Turk reached the point of no return with the 'phantasm' injury which has kept him out of the squad against Murcia on Tuesday in the Copa del Rey.

Turan has not hit expecations since arriving in 2015-16. He could not play for six months because of Barcelona's FIFA transfer ban and when he did come back, he didn't seem to fit into any place in Luis Enrique's system.

Arda has not featured in Ernesto Valverde's plans. He featured in just one squad, for the opener against Real Betis, but did not play a single minute.

  • Season 2017 - 18: -

money trouble

A problem for Barcelona is getting rid of a player who cost 34m plus 7m more in variables. His salary is large too, and Barcelona need to find a club who will take him off their hands. Galatasaray wanted him last summer but Turan did not want to go back to Turkey with three years left on his Barcelona deal.
