Ferdinand says the Norway midfielder is his player of the year
Rio Ferdinand says he could only see Martin Odegaard leaving Arsenal if Barcelona came in for him.
The former Real Madrid midfielder is having an outstanding season in the Premier League, with his performances helping the Gunners to the top of the Premier League.
That has led to talk of a possible move elsewhere, but ex-Manchester United and England defender Ferdinand says only one club kept tempt the Norwegian playmaker.
“I’d say right now, he’s probably my player of the year,” Ferdinand said in his Vibe with Five podcast.
“If Haaland eases up with the goals, and Arsenal win the league, and Odegaard continues, he’s my player of the year.
“The only place he goes is somewhere like Barca. If they come in, it’s a different conversation.”
