The MSN are back! FC Barcelona's trident prepare to take on Man City
A month after they last played together, the MSN are set to reunite against Manchester City this week
FC Barcelona's trident - Messi, Suarez and Neymar - will return after nearly a month since the last time they played together. It was broken up on September 21, when Messi went off injured during the clash with Atletico Madrid.
The MSN have only coincided in four of the 12 games this season (33.3 per cent), and have only played one game entirely - the 7-0 win over Celtic. A game in which they scored six goals and gave six assists. Messi scored a hat-trick and gave an assist, Suarez got one of each, and Neymar scored twice and got four assists.
In 2016-17, despite playing only 230 minutes together, the MSN have scored 10 and given 9 assists. They won twice (Celta, Leganes), drew once (Atletico) and lost to Alaves. However they were only on the pitch for 24 minutes against Alavs, and 59 against Atletico.
On Wednesday they will line up together again. With the MSN together the team is far more fearsome, as they have shown over the past two years.
