The maximum offer Barcelona will make for Raphinha

The Brazilian winger is a target for the Catalans for next season if Dembele does not stay

Barcelona have not given up hope of signing Raphinha. In recent days they have made contact with Leeds to start negotiations. Chelsea have a deal with the English club and just need the 25 year old winger to give the nod, but he is waiting for Barcelona, with his agent Deco also keen on moving him to Camp Nou.

The Catalan side are willing to reach 55 million euros for the Brazilian winger. The coach, Xavi, wants players who can unbalance opponents and Raphinha could replace Ousmane Dembele, who is officially a free agent. Evidently, the signing is conditioned by the Frenchman. If he decides to stay then Barcelona will have to use the money elsewhere.

The Times say that Leeds are asking for 70 million euros, which is what Chelsea are paying. However Raphinha has the Blues on hold at the moment and is waiting to see if his Camp Nou switch can happen.

His Portuguese agent met with Barcelona on Wednesday to explain the situation - Arsenal are also interested - but said Raphinha’s will to sign for Barcelona has not changed.

Barcelona and the player need to come up with a better strategy to convince Leeds. They want as much money as they can get for the forward.
