The two clubs are in talks regarding a player exchange for the two goalkeepers

The player exchange deal which is being negotiated between Barcelona and Valencia is close to being finalised. The agreement between the two clubs seems imminent with both clubs needing to do the deal to balance their accounts strategically.

In this sense, Barça would sign Neto before June 30 because, for financial reasons, Valencia need to bring in between 25 and 30 million euros before the end of the month. And then, in July, Valencia will sign Jasper Cillessen for the same price.

Therefore, Valencia would be able to close the current season without losses, allowing them to comply with Financial Fair Play rules. Los Che are obliged to bring in 40 million euros before June 30 to balance the books.

Both goalkeepers are following the negotiations closely. Remember that Barça signed Cillssen for 12 million euros, so would make money on him in the process.

The Dutch stopper has given the green light to the move, even though he will have to reduce his salary, as he will be given the chance to be the No.1 for a Champions League team.

Neto is also happy with the deal. He joined Valencia in 2017 for seven million euros from Juventus.
