The four academy players that Xavi will call up against Girona in LaLiga

Four academy players who are not first-team players will be in Xavi's squad for the game against Girona on Monday. The plague of injuries has made the coach resort to players such as Casadó, Estanis, Garrido and Alarcón in recent weeks.  

All four have been left out of Rafa Márquez's B team swuad and already know what it's like to make their debuts with the first team. These are the four players who were already in the squad against Real Madrid and who, if nothing strange happens, will repeat against Girona:

Aleix Garrido (19 years old):

He made his debut against Elche with the first team. A classic midfielder from the Barça school, he is a very secure player with the ball who understands positional play. He is nicknamed 'the little professor' for his reading of the game and is part of the 2004 generation like Gavi, who he knows very well from the youth teams.

Estanis Pedrola (19):

A classic winger. He is one of Barça Atlètic's most important players. He brings a lot of attack, scores goals and has spectacular physical conditions to play at the elite level.  

Marc Casadó (19):

Midfielder who can also play at right-back. He has the classic Barça midfielder profile: he stands out above all for his simple play. He is a player who plays with his first touch and almost always makes good decisions. He has internalised Barça's positional play and Xavi already used him at the beginning of the season. 

Ángel Alarcón (18):

A winger who can also play as a '9'. After overcoming a serious injury, he has recovered his sensations with the Juvenil A and is once again that explosive forward with a lot of goals. The coaches also value his movements. His play without the ball makes his attacking teammates' jobs much easier.
