The five players from Barça B who will play against Hercules
Marlon hasn't made it but there are several youngsters who could get a chance to impress
Luis Enrique will take advantage of the first leg of the Copa del Rey to give some minutes to Barça B players. Carles Aleña, Alex Carbonell, Nili, Borja Lopez and Marc Cardona are the five players named in the squad.
The presence of Aleña, Carbonell and Nili for the game against Hercules in Alicante was practically guaranteed, but the other two inclusions are slightly more surprising. Borja Lopez and Cardona weren't necessarily expected to make the list.
Cardona's seven goals for the B team have opened the door to the first team. He's a reference point in Gerard Lopez's side. However, Borja Lopez has been forgotten slightly due to the presence of Marlon Santos. The Brazilian has been chosen by Luis Enrique whenever he has needed to add a defender to his squad.
However, he's not been able to pick Marlon for Wednesday's match. In any case, the rules state that Barça must keep seven first team players on the pitch at all times against Hercules.
