Yerry Mina has already agreed a contract with Barcelona
The signing could be confirmed in a matter of days
Palmeiras and Colombia defender Yerry Mina is about to become a Barcelona player.
Talks between Palmeiras and Barça have gone well and the transfer could be finalised in the coming days.
There are still a few details to be sorted between the Brazilian club and Mina, who is now in Sao Paulo, but nothing which is expected to hold the deal up.
Mina should arrive in Barcelona next week to undergo a medical and sign his deal.
According to Catalunya Radio, here are the figures behind the deal:
- Yerry Mina will sign a five-year deal.
- Yerry Mina he will earn 3.7 million euros gross per season.
- Barcelona will pay 9 million euros initially to Palmeiras for the transfer.
- Barcelona, according to sources, will also pay an additional 3 million euros to the Brazilian side.
Palmeiras, meanwhile, have already signed a replacement for the 23-year-old.
Mina arrives as a replacement for Javier Mascherano, who will leave for the Chinese Super League later this month.
The Colombian international will compete for a first team place with Samuel Umtiti, Gerard Pique and Thomas Vermaelen.
