Sevilla want 40 million euros for the wideman, who is attracting interest

They will not make it easy for any of the chasing clubs to sign him this summer

Sevilla don't plan to let one of their stars leave easily. The La Liga club do not want to lose Vitolo -- at least not on the cheap -- and have told interested clubs they will have to come up with 40 million euros.

Víctor Machín Pérez, Vitolo, is another example of the good work done by Monchi as Sevilla's sporting director. The wide attacker, who can play on either flank, joined in 2013 from Las Palmas when he was 23.

At the time, Sevilla paid 3.2 million euros. Since then, Vitolo has continued to grow as a player, becoming a key part for his club side and also breaking into the Spain team.

His progression has not gone unnoticed and the 27-year-old is drawing interest from Barça, Manchester City and Atlético Madrid. In Barça's case, he's not a priority, but the reports are good and there is an interest in the footballer.

In any case, everyone knows that they will have to pay between 35 and 40 million euros to sign him, keeping in mind that Sevilla have always been tough negotiators and Monchi's exit doesn't change that.

Another thing, though, is what the player wants. Vitolo may want to develop his career elsewhere, especially keeping in mind the level of clubs interested in him. Vitolo has admitted he's flattered to be linked with Barça
