Marcos Rojo is very close to joining Everton and this could see Mina replace him at Jose Mourinho's side

The future of Yerry Mina could become clear very soon. The interest from Manchester United is real and they've asked the defender to wait for them. As revealed by SPORT, the Barça centre back is the Red Devils 'Plan B' should they not be able to work out a deal to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City. However the movement in the last few hours means that Yerry Mina could end up at United even if they manage to sign their first choice defender.

The Argentinian full back and centre back, Marcos Rojo is very close to joining Everton according to TyC Sports. United have asked for around €33m for Rojo, a price which Everton appear willing to pay. The Argentine was involved at the World Cup and as such hasn't returned to preseason training yet.

Rojo signed a new deal back in March extending his stay to 2021. However, now that United have accepted an offer for him, a move away might not seem like such a bad idea. If this happens then Mourinho would want another centre back added to his squad and Mina has become the favourite to replace him.

What appears even clearer now is Mina's future lies in the Premier League. Everton, Manchester United and Leicester have all sounded out moves for the Colombian defender. We won't need to wait long to find out where Mina will be playing next season as the transfer market in England closes on the 9th August.
