The Cup winners are back home

The Barça expedition returned to Barcelona at 2am on Sunday and have been given time off until Thursday

With one more Copa del Rey under their arms, Barcelona are back at home. The Catalans lifted the trophy for an incredible 30th time after hammering Sevilla 5-0 in Madrid and flew straight home after the game at one in the morning, arriving back in Barcelona at 2.30am.

And with the first trophy of the season secured, coach Ernesto Valverde decided to give his players four days off and his squad will not get back on to the training pitch until next Thursday. The coach, who left the celebrations up to the players and took a step back, is adamant, however, that they have one more step to take.

When the team return to training, they will have three days before they have the chance to become Liga champions. Their first attempt will be against Deportivo La Coruna next Sunday, and if they seal the title, they will host Real Madrid the following week at Camp Nou as confirmed Liga and double champions.
