Barca coach Ronald Koeman spoke on Sunday, ahead of the clash with Huesca on Monday, and he’s optimistic about the current state of the team.
Despite the elimination by PSG in the Champions League, the club has a good vibe at the moment.
“We’ve improved a lot physically, I see the team with a lot of enthusiasm,” said Koeman.
“And we’ve improved, above all, without the ball. It;s normal that with a new coach it takes a bit of time. But today the team is happy and we have to continue in this dynamic.”
Koeman recognised that the growth of the team of late has surprised him.
“I’ve always said that the season was long. It was not normal either that in the first half of the season Atletico took so many points from their games.
“We’ve improved a lot. The league is alive until the last games, although it will still be very hard for us. We’ve improved, above all, without the ball.”
