'Atletico were organised and it was hard to find space'

'To have conceded the least goals shows the team's working well'

Marc-Andre ter Stegen was one of the stars of the game as Barcelona drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid. Even though he conceded an unstoppable goal from Saul Niguez, he made a number of brilliant saves which were decisive in the match.

"Yes, we made some mistakes and Atletico had some good chances. We dominated the game from the beginning but Atletico are well organised and it's difficult, almost impossible, to find space, especially when you go behind against them. In the second half we were able to play our game a little more and we created a lot of chances," he said.

For the German goalkeeper, "it was such a difficult game that I think we can be happy with the point... but we could have won, because at the end of the game we had the best chances."

Ter Stegen has only conceded three league goals this season. When asked about his excitement at the possibility of winning the Zamora Trophy, he said that "to have conceded the least shows that the defence is working well... and also the whole team. If that means we win titles, fantastic. The only thing that interests me is the team's success."
