The Barça goalkeeper is targetting a Champions League semifinal spot

Marc-Andre ter Stegen says it won't be easy for Barcelona to reach the Champions League semifinal on Tuesday against Roma.

Barca go into the second leg of their quarterfinal with a 4-1 lead from last week's first leg at Camp Nou.

However, goalkeeper ter Stegen, who spoke to the media before the game on Monday, says the players will not take their lead for granted.

"We know it won't be easy," he said. "We're focused on the game and on defending our advantage, (the lead) does not change anything for us. We will have to produce good performance to continue in the Champions League.

"We have an advantage which makes it difficult for Roma, but they have quality and you never know before a game how it will go.

"But if we are 100 percent [focused] on the game and excited for the game then we should be able to take care of business."

Ter Stegen downplayed concerns over the squad's freshness at this stage of the season, too, and bigged up the squad's depth.

He added: "We're fresh, we're ready. We always are for big games. With the squad we have we know we can count on each other, which helps us as a team and makes things easier.

"It's difficult if [you] only [have] 11 players, but we have a lot of quality. I know we have a lot of tough games to come, starting with [Roma]."
