Ter Stegen racks up fourth clean sheet in a row as Barça held by Sevilla

The German produced another good performance at the Sanchez Pizjuan on Friday

In the worst moments, Barcelona have an extra life, a jokes to turn to when things get complicated: Marc-Andre ter Stegen. He's an insurance policy, against big sides and smaller ones, with or without fans, before and after the pandemic.

He showed that once again against Sevilla, one of the most lethal sides in the league. The German has a relatively quiet first half but had to make up for that in the second half.

Barça switched off at the start of the second half and were close to falling behind. However, Ter Stegen was there to keep the home side out.

His biggest save came in the 54th minute. A quick-thinking free kick from Jesus Navas sent Lucas Ocampos in, but his fierce shot was met with an incredibly strong hand from Ter Stegen.

More saves followed from Munir and Sergio Reguilon, but Ter Stegen was not be beaten as he picked up his fourth clean sheet in a row.

He has not been beaten since La Liga's restart, in games against Mallorca, Leganes and Sevilla. He also kept a clean sheet in his last game before the coronavirus break, against Real Sociedad at Camp Nou in March.
