Ter Stegen: I'm sure the new manager will know how to handle the dressing room
The goalkeeper bemoaned Barcelona's dropped points this season
However, he is stil hopeful of winning a third league title with the club
Marc-Andre ter Stegen said in an interview with Catalunya Radio that the dressing room is not worried about who the new manager will be.
"I don't know who it will be, I don't know about the rest. For now, we're not thinking about next season. Whether it's someone from the club or from outside, I am sure it will be a manager who will know how to handle the dressing room," the goalkeeper said.
Ter Stegnen also referred to his imminent contract renewal: "We're in talks. Everyone knows I love playing for Barça as the first choice keeper. That is why I stayed and it is the best thing that could have happened, I want to stay for many years."
On Barça's irregularity in La Liga this season, the German said: "They're things which can happen but which shouldn't happen. We lost points at places like the Riazor... They're things that hirt, but now we have to focus on what's to come.
"If we win the last two games of the season, we can win the league, which is our objective and which is what we must be focused on."
Changing subjects, Ter Stegen also spoke about the chances of Juventus goalkeeper winning the Ballon d'Or.
He said: "It would be great if a goalkeeper won it. Keepers who play for big teams usually only have one or two actions to make and they have to be at 100 percent. You sometimes only have one chance to help your team."
