Tanguy Ndombele an option for Barcelona in January
The midfielder has interested the club for some time and is struggling for games at Tottenham
Barcelona are looking at box to box midfielders, with Xavi wanting the team to reinforce in that area in January. The club is searching for market opportunities and it seems like Tanguy Ndombele might be an option. Tottenham, with Antonio Conte as their new coach, want AC Milan’s Kessie. He is similar to Nbombele and it means they’ll let the Frenchman go. He is not happy at Tottenham.
Ronald Koeman already tried to sign Georginio Wijnaldum. The list of options is short, as Barca want players who can come on loan. Denis Zakaria of Borussia Moenchengladbach and Boubacar Kamara or Olmpique Marseille are on there too. Curiously they have ruled out Kessie because of his difficulty in circulating the ball.
Ndombele is a player that Barca have long been interested in. The club made an offer for him when he played at Olympique Lyon but Tottenham took him for 60m euros.
Barcelona will try and loan him until the end of the season, but we’ll also have to see if Xavi has any other priorities because the budget is limited and the team also need a striker.
