FC Barcelona and Nike confirmed on Monday that the Catalan side will ditch vertical stripes in favour of a checkered design for their home shirt next season.SPORT exclusively revealed that would be the case on Sept. 19, 2018. It was then that the readers were able to see the shirt Barça were woking on developing for the 2019-20 campaign.Journalist Joan Vehils was the first to reveal it on social media, with director Albert Masnou the first to publish it in a newspaper.The new and revolutionary design was presented by Barça on Monday. They say it's inspired by the Eixample district of the city and will be on sale from June 4.
