Sport Bild: RB Leipzig forward Dani Olmo is back on Barça's radar
Olmo came through at La Masia and has regularly been linked with a return to the club
Dani Olmo is one of the big names on FC Barcelona's radar and one of Xavi Hernández's favourites since he arrived on the bench. The Catalan forward has never hidden his desire to return to the club that trained him. And this desire could soon become a reality.
According to Sport Bild, Olmo has decided to move to Barça. The report adds that during the last international break, Rouven Schöder, sporting director of RB Leipzig, already discussed this issue after the dismissal of coach Max Eberl.
Missed opportunity
However, the player renewed with the German club last summer until 2027 and, as SPORT has learned, it will be complicated to assume the €60 million release clause, which is the figure that Leipzig would want.
Before the renewal, this was €30 million. A low amount for what was moving in the market (Chelsea's €130 million for Moisés Caicedo, without going any further). It was the ideal moment to make a move and take a home-grown player, with plenty of talent and who is at a very high level.
