A Spanish court has asked for Sandro Rosell, who is accused of laundering 15m euros in Andorra from audiovisual rights sales of Brazilian national team games, to be imprisoned, according to El Periodico de Catalunya.

Former Barcelona president Rosell spoke in court on Thursday morning for over two hours, where he was interrogated by lawyer and politician Joan Besoli. Later it is expected that his wife Marta Pineda will speak, and then Andreu Ramos.

His alleged wrongdoings took place before he became president of the Catalan giants.
