Spain pick 10 Barça players in squad for U19 European Championships

No club has more involvement in the squad than the Catalan side

Barcelona are the club that contributes the most players to the Spain U19 squad, at least as far as the provisional squad is concerned. Spain will compete from July 3 for the U19 European Championships, which will be held in Malta. They want to win the competition for the ninth time in their history. 

The Barça players who are in José Lana's squad are: Arnau Casas, Aleix Garrido, Víctor Barberá, Daniel Rodríguez, Ilias Akhomach, Ánder Astralaga, Unai Hernández and Andrés Cuenca.

In total, eight players out of the 25 that will meet next Monday, June 19, in Alicante. In addition, Álex Valle, on loan at Andorra, and Álvaro Cortés, on loan at Damm, are also on the list. 

The expedition will remain in Alicante until June 30, when they will travel to Barcelona and the following day, on July 1, they will travel to Malta.

However, before the team leaves for Malta, coach José Lana will have to discard five players because only 20 are allowed in the final phase. 

Spain will make their debut against Iceland on July 4, while the second match will be against Greece three days later. The final group game is on July 10 against Norway.
