The RFEF have asked about the Barça starlet's situation and, after living in Spain for 10 years, Ansu is eligible for a Spanish passport

Ansu Fati is the man of the moment at not only FC Barcelona but also in the offices at the RFEF. With the U17 World Cup on the horizon, Spain want Ansu to be involved in the competition.

The forward, who still hasn't turned 17, is yet to claim Spanish citizenship.

Interest from the RFEF isn't new and they've been following his progress since he started coming through the ranks in Spain.

The situation is in the hands of Ansu's father. After arriving in Spain when he was just six years old, the forward is eligible for a Spanish passport after spending 10 years in the country.

Ansu signed a new contract with Barça in July and extended his stay until 2022 with an option to add a further two years.
