Sonny Anderson: I don't like how Arthur has been playing

The ex-Barça forward was also critical of Coutinho's recent form

Former FC Barcelona player Sonny Anderson has said in an interview with Catalunya Radio that he's not impressed with Arthur and Philippe Coutinho's performances this season.

"I don't really like the level that Arthur's been playing at," he said. "I thought he was going to do more. Arthur can do more. I know him. He can do what [Andres] Iniesta did at Barça. It's not a criticism, it's a disappointment."

In addition, on Coutinho, who Barça paid 160 million euros for in 2018, he said: "He's not having a season like those he had at Liverpool. He's playing with the brakes on and hasn't released his [usual] game."

Anderson, who also played for Lyon, believes that Tuesday's Champions League game between his two former sides will be a tough one for the Catalans.

"Valverde's team is more complete than in other years," he added. "I think that the most difficult tie for Barça is Lyon. If they get through, they will win the Champions League."
