The Brazilian wants to respect his Liverpool past if he is to leave Barcelona

Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has ruled out the possibility of moving to Manchester United, who have shown an interest in the Brazilian amid the possibility of losing Paul Pogba this summer.

According to a report on Sky Sports on Tuesday, Coutinho has told those in charge of his future that he does not want to move to Old Trafford out of respect for his former club, Liverpool.

United are one of several teams to maintain an interest in the Brazilian but it looks like his future will not be back in the Premier League in the end.

Coutinho left a mark at Liverpool, despite the way he left the club, and he wants to keep a good relationship with them. Their rivalry with United means it's unviable that he makes the move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.

That could open the door for Paris Saint-Germain, one of the other teams interested in him.

Coutinho is expected to leave Barça after a disappointing season. The Catalan club hope good form so far the Copa America will help push his price up. They paid 160 million euros for him in 2018.
