Sevilla midfielder N'Zonzi flattered by Barcelona interest

The midfielder is linked with a host of teams and spoke about the Catalan side in a recent interview

Steven N'Zonzi, one of the regulars in Jorge Sampaoli's Sevilla side, has suggested he'd rather sign for Barcelona than return to the Premier League in an interview with FourFourTwo.

N'Zonzi is having an excpetional season and several clubs are following him. The Frenchman has become a key part of Sampaoli's plans, but he's not ruled out a possible exit from Sevilla in the future.

Amid interest from clubs such as Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus, N'Zonzi has said he does not miss the Premier League.

On Barça's reported interest, he added: "The Barcelona interest is flattering, but it's only in the newspapers. I'm not even thinking about it. I am happy at Sevilla.

"It's something you get used to -- until something actually happens, then it isn't really worth thinking about. But to be linked with clubs is a sign that I'm playing pretty well, so that's nice."

He's enjoying life in the city of Seville for now, though: "I love it here. It feels like the whole city is behind the team. We feel so tough to beat at home because the fans are incredible. The players can feel it. They are extremely passionate."
