Croatia, Portugal, Argentina, Holland and France are yet to qualify

The worst time was had by Arda Turan who got battered by Iceland

FC Barcelona have seven stars at the World Cup in Russia already. Spain beat Albania to qualify with Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets in the squad that achieved it. Andres Iniesta too, although he was not there because of injury, while Sergi Roberto and Gerard Deulofeu might make it into Julen Lopetegui's plans yet.

Other Cules in Russia are Ter Stegen with Germany, Belgium's Thomas Vermaelen and Brazil midfielder Paulinho. The latter is in a sweet moment of his career. A starter for Barcelona and ready for his first World Cup.

Arda Turan, however, and Turkey went down to Iceland, humiliated 3-0, waving goodbye to the World Cup. Not a good spell for Arda, who is not needed at Barcelona either.

Pain for Croatia and Ivan Rakitic too, who drew against Finland and now need to earn qualification against Ukraine in Kiev.

Hearts will be in mouths when it comes to South America. Messi and Mascherano are in danger of missing out on the World Cup with all at stake against Ecuador on Tuesday. It would be a catastrophe for the country if they didn't reach the World Cup, a place where football is more than passion, it is part of the culture.

Uruguay are yet to qualify officially but Luis Suarez's side play at home against Bolivia and should earn safe passage to Russia.

Today is key for Semedo and Andre Gomes, who are in Andorra with Porto, while Jasper Cillessen features for Holland in the Belarus clash while Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne play for France against Bulgaria.
